FG CHIC: Soft Focus The Polished Intimacy of Prep 

In a London washed in chrome reflections and after-hours hush, Prep embody a distinctly British kind of restraint — the sort that whispers rather than declares, and lingers far longer because of it. 

Formed in 2015, the quartet — Tom Havelock, Llywelyn ap Myrddin, Guillaume Jambel and Daniel Radclyffe — move with the quiet precision of a well-cut suit. Their sound blends satin-smooth R&B, jazz-inflected textures, and a polished 1980s sensibility, all filtered through a contemporary lens that feels more considered than nostalgic. 

Their debut, Futures EP, set the tone with effortless clarity. Cheapest Flight drifted across the internet with understated magnetism, followed by Who's Got You Singing Again and Line by Line — tracks that favoured nuance over noise, detail over display. 

By the time their self-titled debut album, Prep, arrived, PREP had already refined a signature : emotionally astute songwriting wrapped in immaculate production. Yet it is with The Programme that their world fully expands — more cinematic, more assured, and quietly ambitious. Collaborations with Eddie Chacon and Phum Viphurit add a global softness to their already fluid identity. 

Released in its extended form as The Programme (Deluxe) in August 2025 via Bright Antenna Records, the project unfolds like a private diary — 14 tracks tracing love, distance, and introspection, available on platforms such as Apple Music. 

PREP do not chase attention. They curate atmosphere. And in that poised, almost aristocratic subtlety lies their quiet revolution — a reminder that, sometimes, the most powerful statements are the ones delivered softly.
